Cloudflare Attributes Global Internet Disruption to Latent Bug

Cloudflare, a leading content delivery and security provider, faced a global internet disruption due to a latent software bug. The bug caused widespread outages, impacting high-traffic services like ChatGPT, Cloud, Spotify, and enterprise platforms for around two hours.

Cloudflare's Chief Technology Officer, Dane Knecht, identified the issue as a hidden flaw within the company's system that went undetected until the morning of the disruption. Despite resolving the incident, Cloudflare continues monitoring to ensure network stability.

Knecht assured users of ongoing efforts to prevent such incidents in the future.
