NADDC's CNG Initiative Attracts $980m Investment for Job Creation and Energy Security

The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) revealed that the CNG initiative has attracted $980 million in investments, aiming to reduce transport costs, create jobs, and enhance energy security. In partnership with the Simba Group, the initiative has trained 70 technicians in Benue State on mechatronics for repairing and maintaining petrol and CNG vehicles.

Additional training programs are planned in other states to certify more technicians and boost the automotive industry. The initiative received support from Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, who pledged to train 500 youths in CNG conversion and mechatronics to reduce transport costs and support industrialization efforts.
