Northern Youth Frontiers Endorse Tinubu, Warn Atiku

The Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF), a coalition of Northern youth groups, has expressed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election and the principle of power rotation in Nigeria. In a statement signed by the National Chairman, Sama Musa, the coalition emphasized that Tinubu should be allowed to complete his two-term tenure to promote national unity and political stability.

The NYF cautioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against actions perceived as undermining the established principle of rotational presidency for his political ambitions. Musa stated that consultations with political leaders across the northern region are ongoing in preparation for the 2031 elections.

The coalition asserted that the North is not in a hurry to disrupt power sharing and fully supports waiting until 2031 for the next northern presidential term. They criticized Abubakar for attempting to create divisions among Nigerians and reiterated that the presidency should rotate among regions, not individuals.
