Nigerian Army Intensifies Operations Against Criminals

On a recent visit to the 401 Special Forces Brigade in Makurdi, Chief of Army Staff Waidi Shaibu directed troops to intensify operations under "Operation Whirl Stroke" against criminal elements threatening peace and stability in Nigeria. He commended the troops for their courage and resilience, noting that their sustained operations have enabled displaced families to begin returning to their ancestral homes.

Shaibu emphasized that the Nigerian Army will not relent until every threat to peace is decisively crushed. He warned that criminals would no longer find safe havens in affected communities and stressed the importance of intelligence-driven operations and inter-agency collaboration.

Shaibu also highlighted the need for professionalism and adherence to rules of engagement to maintain public trust. He reaffirmed the Army's loyalty to the President and the Constitution, while also prioritizing the welfare of soldiers and their families.
