COAS Yahaya Visits Jos to Assess Security Situation

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), led heads of security agencies to Jos, Plateau State, to assess the security situation following recent protests that resulted in several casualties in the Jos North Local Government Area. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to restore calm and entrench lasting peace across the state.

Upon arrival, the COAS met with the Executive Governor of Plateau State, demonstrating strong civil-military cooperation and a commitment to addressing emerging security challenges.
