COAS Waidi Shaibu Visits Plateau to Enhance Security

On Thursday, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Plateau State as part of ongoing efforts to restore calm and establish lasting peace in the region. During his visit, he was received by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, highlighting the strong civil-military cooperation aimed at addressing emerging security challenges.

The COAS received a comprehensive operational briefing from Major General Folusho Oyinlola, the officer commanding the 3 Division Command and Joint Task Force, which focused on proactive measures being implemented by security agencies to contain threats and protect lives and properties. Lieutenant General Shaibu also interacted with community leaders and residents, assuring them of the Nigerian Army's unwavering commitment to safeguarding law-abiding citizens and urging them to remain calm and vigilant.

Local government representatives, including Hon Dachung Bago and Hon Ladi Dangyok, expressed appreciation for the COAS's visit, noting that the presence of top military leadership boosts public confidence in ongoing security efforts.
