PDP Reconciliation Update: Turaki Reports Progress

Tanimu Turaki, who leads the PDP reconciliation committee, provided an update on the party's reconciliation process aimed at uniting aggrieved factions within the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In a statement issued on Wednesday, Turaki confirmed that the committee is actively interfacing with factions loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister to resolve outstanding issues.

He emphasized the importance of de-escalating combative and derogatory statements to ensure that reconciliation can continue in good faith and in the overall interest of the party. Turaki expressed hope that the PDP remains viable and will field candidates for the 2027 general elections.
