Kwara State Ensures Free Common Entrance Examination

The Kwara State Government, through a statement issued by the Ministry of Education's press secretary, Peter Amogbonjay, has reaffirmed that the common entrance examination will remain free for eligible pupils in public schools. Lawal Olohungbeb, the Commissioner for Education, Human Capital Development, emphasized that the examination is fully funded by the state government and that no charges should be imposed on participating pupils.

School principals and headteachers were urged to strictly adhere to government policies to prevent unauthorized fees from being collected from parents and guardians during the examination process. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has placed a high premium on transparency, accountability, and equitable access to education.

The government has committed to investigating any reports of violations and addressing them appropriately, ensuring that the assessment process remains credible and free from malpractice across the state's educational system. Parents and guardians were encouraged to report any requests for unauthorized payments to the ministry's helpline.
