Tinubu Praises Team Nigeria's 24 Medals at Commonwealth Games

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu congratulated Team Nigeria for their remarkable performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland, where the country secured a total of 24 medals: 10 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze. In a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended the athletes for representing Nigeria with dignity and pride.

He described the medal haul as a testament to the athletes' hard work and perseverance, emphasizing that their experiences would inspire future generations. Tinubu expressed gratitude to all involved in Nigeria's participation, including athletes, coaches, and officials, and acknowledged the leadership of the Nigeria Olympic Committee and the National Sports Commission for their dedication to sports development.
