Conan O'Brien to Host 2027 Oscars for Third Year

Conan O'Brien has been announced as the host for the 2027 Oscars, making this his third consecutive year in the role. The 99th edition of the Academy Awards is scheduled for March 14, 2027, in Hollywood.

O'Brien, 63, is expected to bring his signature humor to the prestigious gala, as stated in a joint announcement by Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Lynett Howel Taylor. O'Brien will collaborate with executive producers Raj Kapoor and Kati Mullan, marking their fourth consecutive year in this capacity.

Craig Erwich, President of Disney Television Group, expressed confidence in O'Brien's ability to energize the Oscars, which have seen a slight decline in viewership, with 17.9 million people tuning in for the 98th edition. The 2023 ceremony honored Paul Thomas Anderson with his first Oscar for Best Picture.

O'Brien is a six-time Emmy Award winner and has hosted several late-night television programs, including "The Tonight Show" and his current podcast, "Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend.".
