NYSC Welcomes 2,300 Corps Members in Anambra State

On Friday, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) conducted an orientation program for the 2026 Batch Stream 2 in Anambra State, where 2,300 corps members were sworn in. The state NYSC coordinator, Mr.

Paulin Ojisua, addressed the orientation ceremony, which included 1,080 males and 1,220 females. Ojisua highlighted the importance of the three-week program designed to instill discipline, patriotism, teamwork, and the necessary skills for national building.

The program includes military drills, physical training, and sports to enhance physical fitness and mental alertness among corps members. He also emphasized the significance of acquiring entrepreneurial skills to promote self-reliance.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo urged the corps members to provide dedicated service to Anambra State. Ojisua reminded the youth to conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors of their families.

Mr. Ifeatu Emeodi, representing the Ministry of Youth Development, commended the NYSC leadership at both national and state levels.

The ceremony concluded with the administration of the oath of allegiance to the corps members by Justice O. Manyachebelu.
