NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Partisan Politics

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a warning to corps members in Osun State, advising them to refrain from involvement in partisan political activities that could jeopardize the safety and integrity of the electoral process. This caution was articulated by NYSC Coordinator Ekeng Ita Kubiangha during the official closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch Stream II orientation course held at the NYSC permanent orientation camp.

Kubiangha emphasized the importance of remaining neutral and abiding by the law while serving as ad hoc electoral personnel during the gubernatorial elections scheduled for August 15. He also cautioned corps members about the responsible use of social media, advising them to avoid spreading fake news or inflammatory content that could bring disrepute to the NYSC scheme.

Kubiangha congratulated the corps members on successfully completing the three-week orientation exercise and urged them to settle quickly into their primary assignments, emphasizing the need for professionalism, punctuality, and dedication to their duties.
