APC Faces Leadership Crisis as New Faction Emerges

A leadership crisis has erupted within the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the emergence of a new faction led by Danladi, who declared herself the chairperson. She claims to be the authentic chairperson of the APC and has announced plans to challenge the legitimacy of the current leadership in the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Danladi's faction has already notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw recognition of the party's national working committee led by Nentaw Yilwatda. She stated that her actions aim to restore legal due process and internal democracy within the party.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Shekarau and Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, recognized as national chairpersons of the APC, visited Nentaw Yilwatda to appeal for guidance and support during a politically challenging time. No immediate decisions were made during this visit, but consultations are ongoing regarding the overall interests of Kano State.
