ADC Warns Members Against Corruption, Promises Accountability

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly warned its members against involvement in corrupt practices, asserting that the party will not protect anyone found guilty of abusing public office. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC spokesman, made these remarks during an appearance on TVC, highlighting the party's determination to distance itself from the negative reputation associated with Nigerian politicians.

The ADC is finalizing an ethics code aimed at ensuring accountability among its members, as public trust in politicians has sharply declined in recent years. Abdullahi stated that the ethics code will be unveiled soon and will introduce strict consequences for party officials who misuse power.

He emphasized that previous officeholders found guilty of wrongdoing will not be protected under the principle of zero tolerance. Abdullahi also criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for showing leniency towards corrupt politicians within its ranks, advocating for equal application of justice across all political affiliations.
