Cotonou Returns to Normalcy After Foiled Coup Attempt

Cotonou, Benin's economic hub, saw a return to normalcy following a failed coup attempt by a group of soldiers. President Patric Talon was quickly restored to power after loyalist forces, including the Nigerian Air Force, intervened.

Despite the turmoil, life in Cotonou began to stabilize, with businesses reopening and daily activities resuming. The coup leaders, who called themselves the CMR, were unsuccessful in their bid to overthrow Talon.
