Court Adjourns El-Rufai's Bail Application to April 14

The Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has adjourned the bail application of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to April 14. El-Rufai is currently facing prosecution by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on 10 counts of corruption-related offenses.

The proceedings took place on a Wednesday, where the lead counsel for El-Rufai, Oluwol Iyamu, concluded arguments regarding the bail application. The court has reserved its decision on the matter and will rule on the bail application on the specified date.

Iyamu expressed hope for a favorable outcome. Additionally, he noted that the defense team is fully prepared for a separate suit filed against the Department of State Services (DSS) in the Federal High Court in Abuja, indicating that the lawyers are ready to file the necessary processes for that matter as well.
