Court Bars INEC from Recognizing PDP Convention Outcome

The Federal High Court in Abuja has restrained INEC from recognizing the outcome of the upcoming national convention of the PDP. Justice James Omotosho issued the order, citing the party's failure to comply with legal conditions for conducting the convention.

The court found that the PDP did not meet the necessary legal requirements, including not issuing a mandatory 21-day notice for the convention. As a result, the court nullified any notices sent by the party's chairman without the secretary and ordered a halt to the convention's outcome recognition until legal compliance is met.
