Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Jonathan's Estate Land in Abuja Due to Corruption

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) request for the permanent forfeiture of a multi-billion naira estate land associated with the legacy of former President Goodluck Jonathan. The land was intended for a model housing estate by the federal government.

The court directed ICPC to oversee the completion of 962 housing units on the land in collaboration with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). The ICPC had earlier secured an interim forfeiture of the assets pending the final determination of the case.
