Blord Jailed for Impersonating VeryDarkMan, Faces Charges

On April 1, 2026, Linu William Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja for allegedly impersonating social media influencer VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martin Vincent Ots. The court ordered his remand at Kuje Correctional Centre pending further proceedings.

Blord faces serious charges, including forgery and misrepresentation, as he allegedly misrepresented himself to promote business ventures without consent. The prosecution detailed that Blord falsely claimed to be the brand ambassador for a gadget app, asserting he was paid 500 million naira, and used Martin Ots' identity without permission.

The court did not grant bail at this stage, and Blord is expected to remain in custody for 26 days. His legal team plans to file a bail application at the next hearing.
