BLord Granted N20M Bail in VeryDarkMan Impersonation Case

On April 1, 2023, Justice Rita Ofili Ajumogobia granted bail of N20 million to BLord in a legal dispute concerning allegations of impersonation involving VeryDarkMan, a well-known social media influencer. The court exercised its discretionary power, allowing BLord to be released from Kuje Correctional Centre.

As part of the bail conditions, BLord is required to deposit his international passport with the court's registrar. Justice Ajumogobia also cautioned BLord against making any public statements related to the case.

The matter has been adjourned until April 27 for further hearing. The Nigerian Police had previously arraigned BLord on six counts of charges related to impersonation, which stem from allegations that he misused VeryDarkMan's image and brand identity to promote business ventures without consent.

The legal counsel for VeryDarkMan withdrew a counter affidavit opposing the bail application, indicating no further objections to the bail.
