Farmer Sentenced 15 Years for Hiding Boko Haram Info

Ali Mustapha, a 55-year-old farmer from Katara Village in Borno State, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for concealing information regarding the activities of the Boko Haram sect. He was arraigned in the Federal High Court in Abuja in 2013, where he pleaded guilty to the charges.

Justice Binta Fatimah Nyako presided over the case and imposed the sentence without the option of a fine. The judgment was based on the plea of guilty submitted by Mustapha, and it was noted that no government official or security agency reported any live activity in the remote village of Borno State.

The sentence is set to commence from the time of his arrest and detention in 2013.
