Ekiti PDP Governorship Primary Nullified by Court, Fresh Exercise Ordered

The Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti nullified the Ekiti PDP governorship primary, declaring the initial winner, Dr. Wole Oluyede, invalid due to non-compliance with party rules.

The court ordered a fresh primary to be conducted by PDP and INEC. The legal dispute arose after Oluyede's victory was challenged by Funso Ayeni, with his counsel Owoseni Ajayi contesting the authenticity of the delegate list used in the primary.

This ruling marks the second setback for PDP in Ekiti's governorship primary process, with INEC previously refusing to recognize the initial outcome.
