Court Orders Forfeiture of UK Property Linked to Useni

On Tuesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, ordered the final forfeiture of a property located at No 79 Randal Avenue, Neasden, London, NW2 7SX, linked to the late Jeremiah Useni, who served as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. The order was granted following a motion filed by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), represented by counsel Sufyan Ahmad, which sought the forfeiture on the grounds that the property was acquired through unlawful activities.

The case, marked as FHC/ABJ/CS/2333/2025, involved a dispute over the property, with claims made by Tali Shani, who asserted ownership based on a gift from Mr. Tali Shani in 2021.

However, the tribunal found the documents submitted by Ms. Shani to support her claim to be fake and subsequently dismissed her claim, ruling that neither Mr. nor Ms.

Tali Shani existed.
