Court Orders Gbenga Daniel To Submit Property Documents

The court has ordered Gbenga Daniel to submit property documents following a suit filed by Otunba Justus Gbenga Daniel against the Governor of Ogun State and others. Justice Oloyede gave the directive during the resumed hearing, instructing Daniel to comply with the government's request as per a notice previously served.

The state's Solicitor General informed the court about an interlocutory injunction filed in response to Daniel's motion. The judge ordered both parties to maintain the status quo and explore settlement options.

Last week, Daniel obtained an interim injunction preventing Governor Abiodun's agents from interfering with his property. The Commissioner of Urban Development dismissed Daniel's claims of political vendetta, stating that the exercise was part of a routine land audit and urban renewal program.

The government has extended the submission deadline to allow compliance.
