CPA Commends TETFund Leadership for Education Impact

The Civil Society Organization (CPA) passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) during a press conference held on Thursday in Abuja. CPA's endorsement followed an extensive investigation into TETFund's activities, assessing its impact on Nigeria's tertiary education sector.

The organization revealed that TETFund has disbursed approximately 1.8 trillion Naira from 2011 to 2024, with universities receiving about 918 billion Naira, polytechnics 461 billion Naira, and colleges of education 458 billion Naira. CPA highlighted that TETFund has executed 152,000 infrastructure projects nationwide, including lecture theatres, classrooms, ICT centers, laboratories, and hostels.

The organization commended TETFund for its strategic role in developing Nigeria's tertiary education, supporting staff training, research funding, and digital transformation initiatives. Despite economic challenges, TETFund has maintained its commitment to effective service delivery and transparency in fund management.
