TETFund and Nigerian Army Collaborate for Education Boost

TETFund, represented by its Executive Secretary Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, and the Nigerian Army, led by Chief of Army Staff Lt.

Gen. Waidi Shaibu, have established a partnership to improve education and security in Nigeria.

During a visit to the Army Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, Bogoro emphasized the importance of sustaining this collaboration to ensure a safer environment for educational institutions and national development. He noted that beyond military operations, the Nigerian Army is increasingly becoming a significant contributor to educational advancement and technological innovation in Nigeria.

The partnership will explore areas driven by innovation, particularly in military technology. Lt.

Gen. Waidi Shaibu expressed appreciation for TETFund's support, particularly for the Nigerian Army School of Engineering in Makurdi and the Nigerian Army University in Biu.

He highlighted the need for local capacity development in military technology, especially in drone technology, to address the ongoing challenge of manpower shortages and reduce dependence on imported military hardware.
