Evelyn Oyom Wins 2026 Ikoyi Club Ladies Championship

Evelyn Oyom successfully defended her title as the overall gross winner at the 2026 Ikoyi Club Ladies Championship, held in Lagos. She achieved a combined gross score of 170 over the two-day tournament, with a daily score of 85.

Pat Ozoemen finished as the first runner-up with a score of 174, while Ifeoma Obata secured the second runner-up position with a score of 185. The championship, themed "Swing Par Tea," attracted 70 female golfers competing across various handicap categories in a stroke play format.

Eimiakhena, the ladies' captain of the golf section at Ikoyi Club 1938, noted that the tournament promotes friendship and unity among members and occurs annually to identify the best female golfers. Oyom, a multiple-time champion, attributes her success to discipline, passion, and dedication to practicing golf.

The winners received prizes, including airline tickets, golf bags, and electronic devices donated by sponsors such as Nigeria Airlines and Flour Mill Nigeria.
