Barcelona Signs Dominik Livakovic on Four-Year Deal

Barcelona has officially signed Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic from Fenerbahce on a four-year contract that extends until 2030, as announced by the Spanish champions on Thursday. The 31-year-old goalkeeper joins the team as coach Hansi Flick aims to bolster his goalkeeping options following a recent loan move of another keeper to Ajax Amsterdam.

Livakovic's transfer fee is reported to be two million euros (approximately $2.33 million), with an additional half a million euros in potential add-ons, according to Marca. He is expected to compete for the starting position with first-choice goalkeeper Joan Garcia, while veteran Wojciech Szczesny will provide further backup.

Livakovic has made 74 appearances for Fenerbahce over two seasons, achieving 24 clean sheets. Prior to his time in Turkey, he had a successful tenure at Dinamo Zagreb, where he won multiple domestic titles before his transfer in 2023.

Livakovic has been a regular member of the Croatian national team since 2017, participating in three World Cups and two European Championships. His signing marks Barcelona's sixth acquisition of the current transfer window.
