Cross River Clears Salary Arrears for Obudu Ranch Workers

Cross River State has successfully cleared five months of salary arrears owed to workers at Obudu Ranch Resort after employees staged a peaceful protest due to non-payment of wages. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by the special adviser to the governor, Michael.

Workers began receiving payment alerts on Wednesday, following the approval from Governor Bassey Otu for the immediate release of funds to cover the outstanding salaries. The governor directed the management of Obudu Ranch Resort to ensure prompt payment of workers' salaries to prevent future backlogs.

Unimashi Adah, a representative of the workers, expressed gratitude to the governor for approving the payment, describing it as a welcome relief after months without salaries. The protest, which began on July 1, called on the state government to settle the arrears owed to the workers.
