Cross River Governor Offers Jobs to Honored Corps Members

Senator Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, announced that seven Corps members would receive automatic employment in recognition of their exemplary service during the 2025 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. This announcement was made after the recipients were honored by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Governor Otu described their achievements as a reflection of the true spirit of Cross River, emphasizing the importance of discipline, dedication, and excellence for personal success and national development. He expressed pride in the Corps members, who were recognized for their outstanding contributions during their service year.

The beneficiaries include Christoph Utsu, Asuquo Ndem, Freedom Udama, Miracl Bisong, Agom Johnson, and Clement Ekunk. In addition to automatic employment, those who choose not to join the state civil service will receive support for entrepreneurship training and skill acquisition programs to help them establish their businesses.

Governor Otu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the youth in their future endeavors.
