The NNPC/Seplat joint venture launched a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) program in Imo State, offering free eye care services to local residents. The initiative included screening 23,447 individuals, conducting 797 surgeries, and distributing 13,525 free eyeglasses.

The initiative aims to provide essential eye care services, including screenings for health challenges such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and professional counseling. The outreach attracted an average of 700 people daily, marking a significant increase compared to previous years.

The program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health. Nuim Olanrewaju Igandan, Chief Upstream Investment Officer at NNPC, praised Seplat Energy for its impactful initiatives.
