Cult Clash in Ilorin Claims Four Lives, Two Injured

A violent clash linked to cult activities in Ilorin, Kwara State, left four people dead and two others injured. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM on Sunday at Shanti Bamboo Bar, located along the railway line, when a group of armed hoodlums reportedly invaded the area and opened fire on patrons.

The Kwara State Police Command, through spokesperson Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi, confirmed the incident and noted that police swiftly responded to a distress call, evacuating victims to a clinic for medical attention. Unfortunately, four victims were confirmed dead, while two others are currently receiving treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest the attack is related to cult activities, leading to the arrest of two suspected members of a notorious cult group. Police operations are ongoing, utilizing covert intelligence assets to track down all individuals connected to the crime.

Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi condemned the violence, emphasizing the command's commitment to maintaining public peace and safety.
