Curfew Imposed in Esa-Oke Over Monarch's Health Concerns

Concerns regarding the health of Oba Adeyemi Adediran, the monarch of Esa-Oke in Osun State, have led to the imposition of a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the community. Chief Paul Olamiju, the second-in-command in the Ogboni Esa-Oke, announced the curfew on Wednesday afternoon.

The reasons for the sudden curfew have not been disclosed, but it has heightened worries among residents about the monarch's health, as he has not appeared in public recently. A statement issued by Chief Olamiju directed the immediate closure of the main market in the community and the suspension of social activities until further notice.

The curfew restricts movement in the town and affects visitors, students, and staff of the Osun State College of Technology. Efforts to reach Chief Olamiju for clarification on the monarch's health condition and the reasons for the curfew were unsuccessful, as communication lines were not connected.
