Nigeria Customs Service Invites 3,852 Recruits for Screening

The Nigeria Customs Service has initiated the final stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise by inviting 3,852 successful candidates for physical screening and documentation at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College in Gwagwalada, Abuja. This recruitment process was highly competitive, attracting 573,680 applications, resulting in a success rate of only 0.67 percent, or approximately one successful candidate for every 148 applicants.

The announcement was made by Abdullahi Maiwada, the Deputy Comptroller of Customs and National Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi. Candidates must bring original and photocopies of required documents, including a National Identification Number, birth certificate, educational certificates, and a completed guarantor’s form.

They are also instructed to wear a white T-shirt, shorts, and canvas shoes. Attendance is mandatory on the allocated dates, with failure to appear potentially leading to disqualification.

This stage follows a prolonged recruitment process that began in December 2024, with the final list announced in August.
