Customs Officers Shoot Driver Dead in Osun State Incident

On Sunday, a driver was shot dead by officers of the Nigeria Customs Service in Osun State, specifically in the Onibueja area of Ido, near a police roadblock along the Osogbo-Iwo road. The incident occurred around 10 AM when the deceased was reportedly pursued by customs officers in mufti.

Video footage from the scene shows the victim's vehicle riddled with bullets, leading to an angry gathering of local residents who demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. Abiodun Ojelabi, the police public relations officer for the Osun State command, confirmed the occurrence of the shooting and stated that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.
