Dangote Varsity VC Urges Students to Avoid Social Vices

During the 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH) in Wudil, Kano, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, the Vice Chancellor, addressed 2,502 newly admitted students. He urged them to maintain discipline, adhere to university rules, and steer clear of social vices.

Yakasai cautioned against drug abuse and examination malpractice, highlighting that such misconduct could jeopardize their futures. He described admission to the university as a rare privilege and emphasized the importance of dedication and academic focus to become good ambassadors for their families.

The Vice Chancellor encouraged students to commit themselves to their studies to graduate with distinction. He also noted that the matriculation ceremony signifies not just formal admission but acceptance of the university's ethical code of conduct.

Established in 2001, ADUSTECH has grown from two faculties and 85 students to six faculties, offering 45 undergraduate programs with a total student population of 28,607, alongside postgraduate studies.
