Danmaliki Receives Certificate as Kumbotso LG Chairman

Ali Musa Danmaliki was issued a certificate of return as the chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Council after a ruling by the Kano State High Court. The court's decision favored Danmaliki, confirming his election and leading to the retrieval of the certificate previously issued to Abdullahi Ghali Shitu.

The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) officiated the issuance of the certificate at a ceremony held at the Kano State Government House on Tuesday. The event was attended by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon.

Ismail Jibril Falgor, and KANSIEC Chairman Prof. Sani Lawal Malumfashi.

Following the court's directive, Danmaliki expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for respecting the court order and pledged his loyalty to the administration while promising to support the governor's re-election in the 2027 general elections. Haruna Duguwa, the APC chairman, emphasized the party's respect for the rule of law regardless of the judgment's outcome.
