Ali Musa Receives Certificate After Court Ruling in Kano

Ali Musa was formally presented with his certificate of return as the chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area by the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) following a directive from the Kano State High Court. The court had nullified the certificate previously issued to Alhaji Abdullahi Basaf, affirming Musa's election as the rightful chairman.

The presentation was conducted by KANSIEC chairman Prof. Sani Malumfashi, who emphasized the commission's constitutional mandate to oversee elections and declare winners at all levels, including local government chairmen. Umar Doguwa, chairman of the Kano State Progress Congress, highlighted the importance of adhering to the rule of law and respecting judicial pronouncements to maintain peace and stability.

In his remarks, Musa expressed gratitude and described the occasion as a milestone for the people of Kumbotso, pledging unwavering support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and assuring the community of their commitment to the administration's success, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
