Darma Inspects Kano Renewed Hope City Housing Project

Engr. Muttagha Rabe Darma, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, inspected the Kano Renewed Hope City Project, praising the public-private partnership (PPP) arrangement as a sustainable model for accelerating housing delivery across Nigeria.

During the inspection, he explained that this visit is part of a nationwide effort to monitor the progress of federal housing projects and address implementation challenges. The project aims to construct 15,000 housing units under various federal government housing programs, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Darma emphasized the importance of regular site visits to assess the quality of work and ensure timely project delivery. The project, which includes 1,500 housing units, is expected to accommodate approximately 6,000 residents and has already generated significant economic activity in the host community.

The minister reiterated the government's commitment to exploring innovative financing mechanisms and partnerships to expand access to affordable housing and promote inclusive development across the country.
