Tinubu Praises Shettima Amid Datti Baba Ahmed's Criticism

Datti Baba Ahmed, the former running mate of Peter Obi, has been criticized for his recent comments regarding Vice-President Kashim Shettima. Following the 2023 elections, where they served as opposition candidates, Baba Ahmed's relevance has diminished, leading him to make unfounded claims against Shettima.

In contrast, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu publicly praised Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a "trusted ally" and "patriot" whose dedication has been crucial to the administration. Tinubu acknowledged Shettima's loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his role as Chairman of the National Economic Council, emphasizing his leadership in economic policy coordination.

The President expressed gratitude for Shettima's steadfast support and partnership, indicating a strong working relationship that aims to fulfill the "Renewed Hope Agenda" for Nigeria. This public commendation serves as a rebuttal to Baba Ahmed's criticisms, reinforcing Shettima's position within the administration.
