Davido Dismisses Kokopee's Claims About VDM Rift

On October 30, 2026, Davido reacted to Kokopee's claims regarding an alleged effort to reconcile him with social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse. Kokopee, a content creator and musician associated with VDM, stated in a widely circulated video that he had been communicating between the two men to address a deteriorating friendship.

He claimed that Davido had reached out to him and presented what he described as evidence of their private conversation. However, Davido's response, a single cap emoji posted on social media, suggested that he rejected Kokopee's narrative, which is commonly interpreted as indicating that something is a lie or exaggeration.

This reaction intensified online discussions about the situation, with fans expressing disbelief and disappointment. As of the time of writing, neither Davido nor VDM had issued further statements on the matter.
