ADC Gains Momentum with Recent Defections in Edo State

Kenneth Imansuangbon, a former governorship aspirant in Edo State and a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), described the recent wave of defections from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the ADC as a reflection of increasing public confidence in the opposition party. He noted that this trend underscores the ADC's emergence as a credible alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Imansuangbon highlighted the influx of new members, particularly from the Esan South East Local Government Area, as a significant shift in the political landscape of the state. The event attracted key stakeholders, including Herbert Okonofua and Akhakon Anenih.

Imansuangbon urged Nigerians to reclaim their mandates at the ballot, asserting that voters are increasingly determined to reject failed leadership. He expressed confidence that voters would resist attempts by Governor Mondai Okpebholo to secure a second term.

Additionally, former Governor Oserhimen Osunbor commended the commitment of new members to strengthen the ADC, dismissing suggestions that the APC's dominance guarantees electoral success.
