Defence HQ Intensifies Rescue for Kidnapped Oyo Students

The Defence Headquarters is intensifying its rescue efforts for 39 students and seven teachers who were kidnapped in the Esin El Community, located in the Oriir Local Government Area of Oyo State. Major General Michael Onoja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, reiterated the commitment to secure the release of the victims during a monthly briefing on ongoing military operations across the country.

In the past 30 days, military operations have reportedly led to the elimination of 317 terrorists, the arrest of 314 suspects, and the rescue of 221 kidnapping victims. The statement also noted the destruction of several criminal camps and the recovery of weapons across various operational theaters nationwide.
