Defence Minister Lauds Gov Lawal for Security Enhancements

The Defence Minister praised Governor Lawal for his efforts in enhancing troop protection in Zamfara State by providing 25 sophisticated armoured personnel carriers and 80 surveillance drones capable of covering 50 kilometers for eight hours. This initiative, announced during a ceremony at the Government House in Gusau, aims to address the ongoing security crises that have disrupted rural life in the state.

The governor's spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idri, noted that the equipment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen security forces and improve community safety. The Zamfara State Security Trust Fund is also being utilized to provide logistical support and enhance collaboration between the armed forces and police agencies.

The governor emphasized the importance of these resources in ensuring effective security operations and maintaining public safety, demonstrating a commitment to protecting lives and properties in the state.
