Defence Minister Supports Troops in North-west Nigeria

On Thursday, Defence Minister Gen Christoph Gwabin Musa (rtd) reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to enhancing operational capacity in the North-west region of Nigeria during his maiden visit to the operational headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State. He announced that the Federal Government, in collaboration with the Zamfara State Government, will provide modern combat enabling forces, including new platforms such as armored personnel carriers (APCs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Minister commended the resilience and professionalism of the troops and urged them to remain resolute and mission-focused in safeguarding lives and properties. This visit underscored the Ministry of Defence's resolve to degrade threats to national security and ensure a safe environment for citizens in Zamfara State.
