Defence Minister Commissions Armoured Vehicles in Sokoto

On Wednesday, General Christoph Gwabin Musa, the Defence Minister of Nigeria, officially commissioned a newly acquired fleet of armoured vehicles in Sokoto State. He described this initiative as a strategic step towards fortifying Nigeria's internal security architecture.

During the commissioning ceremony, General Musa commended the proactive leadership of Sokoto State Governor Ahm Aliyu and highlighted the substantial investment in security assets, which he noted is essential for peace and sustainable development. He stressed the importance of a renewed hope agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, emphasizing the federal government's commitment to safeguarding lives and restoring peace.

General Musa stated that the newly deployed combat assets would significantly enhance the operational efficiency of security forces in the region, enabling superior mobility and rapid response capabilities. He urged security personnel to utilize the new assets with the highest level of discipline and adherence to the rule of law, reaffirming the resolve of the armed forces to leverage advanced technology for improved personnel welfare and a safer Nigeria.
