Defence Minister Musa Warns Against Aiding Terrorists

On Monday, Defence Minister Musa issued a stern warning to anyone aiding terrorists, emphasizing that such actions would be treated as criminal. This warning follows a recent airstrike by the Nigerian Air Force in Borno State, targeting known terrorist enclaves linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

Musa reiterated the military's commitment to ending the activities of kidnappers and bandits across the country. He cautioned civilians against collaborating with insurgents, stressing that such actions could have serious consequences.

Musa advised communities to remain vigilant and report any identified insurgent hideouts, as proximity to these locations poses danger during military operations. The airstrike, which occurred on April 11, 2026, was intelligence-driven and aimed at neutralizing terrorist threats.

Despite reports of civilian casualties, Musa maintained that the operations were necessary to dismantle terrorist networks in the northeast.
