Defence Ministers Honor Fallen Soldiers in Borno State

On Tuesday, Defence Ministers Christoph Musa and Bello Matawalle visited Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, Borno State, to pay tribute to soldiers who were recently killed in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents. The ministers laid a wreath in honor of the fallen heroes and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

During their visit, they also met with Governor Babagana Zulum to sympathize with the state government following a recent bomb blast that resulted in 23 deaths and 108 injuries. Musa assured that the federal government remains committed to achieving total peace in the northeast, emphasizing that the sacrifices of the armed forces will not be forgotten.

Major General Abubakar Abdulsalam, the Theatre Command's head, highlighted the courage and dedication of the soldiers, while Umar Kadafur, the deputy governor, called for improved synergy between ground and air operations to enhance success in ongoing military efforts against insurgency.
