Dele-Bashiru Out for Three Weeks Due to Thigh Injury

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, a 25-year-old midfielder for Lazio, has suffered a first- or second-degree tear in his right thigh, which is expected to keep him out of action for at least three weeks. The injury occurred during Lazio’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara on Monday, where he was substituted in the 54th minute for Davide Frattesi, who later scored the match's only goal.

Medical tests confirmed the injury's severity, interrupting Dele-Bashiru's early-season progress after being given a starting role by coach Gennaro Gattuso following a strong performance in the Coppa Italia. He is anticipated to miss Lazio’s upcoming home match against Genoa on August 30, as well as subsequent Serie A fixtures against Udinese on September 7 and AC Milan on September 13.
