Delta State Approves N22.69bn Otu Jeremi-Udu Road Project

The Delta State government has approved a N22.69 billion project for the reconstruction of the Otu Jeremi-Udu road, part of efforts to enhance road infrastructure and stimulate economic activities within the state. This decision was made during the 14th meeting of the Delta State Tender Board held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Deputy Governor's office in Asaba.

The project involves the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Otu Jeremi-Udu road, which stretches from the Warri-Port Harcourt Expressway at the Ecn Junction to the DSC Expressway at the Udu road junction, leading to Otor-Udu road. The project will cover parts of Ughelli South and Udu Local Government Areas and will be executed by the Ministry of Works.

Reuben Izez, speaking at the meeting, emphasized the state's commitment to improving road infrastructure across Delta. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's agenda focuses on delivering durable infrastructure to enhance residents' living standards, and the project is expected to reduce travel time and improve transport, contributing to socio-economic development in the communities along the corridor when completed.
